What a night! I was sitting around with some friends in San Juan Capistrano drinking martinis. The discussion switched to music and I mentioned that the Dixie Dregs were one of my all-time favorite bands. One of the people I was partying with said, "I just read about the Dregs...where was it?" He pulled out his Coach House brochure and said, "The Dregs are playing at the Coach House...RIGHT NOW!"
Anyway, we rushed on over and the placed was packed. The band was super tight and all the performances were jaw-droppingly flawless. My friends, who had never heard of Steve Morse or the Dregs, were just absolutely blown away. The only glitch n the show was a 5 minute delay due to technical difficulty with Goodman's equipment. It was cool, as Steve bantered with the crowd.
Bottom line: Music doesn't get any better than this and Steve and the Dregs have three new fans for life.
