Another tremendous dregs show, in spite of the technical problems experienced by Jerry Goodman. The momentary lapse actually gave Steve a minute to update the audience on current events (e.g. the namm show, he's still working on major impacts II, deep purple european tour starts in may, the sex, dregs and rock and roll video is selling briskly - they were actually sold out that night...). The audience was very appreciative and it was clear the band fed off the energy. A special shout-out to Dregs fan "Norm" (he drove in from Tucson, Az and went home after the show - now that's dedication!) The highlight of the show for me was "Hereafter" - Steve's solo was indescribable. I've heard the guy play so many times and just when you think you might have heard it all, he continues to shock and amaze...He just gets better and better... and finally, its always nice to hear Steve pay homage to Jeff Beck (shapes of things). Catch them if you can - he's worth the effort.
