The 1st time I saw the Dixie Dregs was at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia back in 1977. I was 16 and that day changed my musical life. The gig at the TLA was possibly my 20th or 30th Dregs show and it still is a wonderful experience listening and watching this group.
The coolest thing in general is that these guys really enjoy themselves and do these little tours cause they love it. That Dregish music is really tough to play and yet they have a wonderful time. This makes the listener/watcher enjoy it even more.
I hope to see the these guys again in Florida on May 4th. Long live the Dixie Dregs!
