Many thanks to whoever is responsible at morse.com for sending me an e-mail regarding the dregs tour dates on the east coast. Came home from vacation on saturday, started deleting spam and lo and behold found a golden nugget!! The Dregs to appear at The Stone Pony on the following night! The Sunday night show probobly expains the light turnout of about 150 people but it made for a great experience for all who attended. I believe this was a late addition to the Stone Pony schedule as I usually run across posters for their shows but never saw an announcement for the Dregs show. The Pony is very intimate anyway so this was a very special experience. I was able to sit on my stool at the bar (served by the exceptionally terrific ellen barkin lookalike bartender mentioned by Alessa Sindoni in her review) only 20 feet from the foot high stage and whenever I wanted to get close I just walked to within 8 or 10 feet of the stage to watch the flying fingers of the members of the band. It was interesting that during Rod's drum solo Steve was fingering his instument the entire time as if he was playing out loud. I would like to know what he heard in his head at that time. Anyway, it was a tremendous show and the band obviously was having alot of fun and the audience, though small was very knowledgeable and lively. Thanks again for the e-mail as I would never have found about the show otherwise.
