UNBELIEVABLE!!!!What a show. the Dregs played another outstanding show to a light but enthuesiastic crowd. Being able to stand right in front of these guys is a real experience...to see their fingers so close...its just so amazing! The nights opener was Aftershock..my prayers were answered! Assembly line, Bash,Odyssey,,,an almost version of "play that funky music white boy!" , Leeches, There is no better example of pure band chemistry at work!!! the sound was great...perhaps better than at B.B. Kings...I say this because of Rod's drum solo...Imagine if you could hug a Harley with open throttle,,,with timing..thats what it felt like! The only thing that I miss is Steve's solo during Cruise Control..I remember that Steve had mentioned that he felt that people were bearly tolerating long guitar solo's...with all respect to Steve,,, I would disagree. I say this because of other Morselanders and Dregsters also missing this highlight. please dont get me wrong,,,I am NOT complaining....but I know self editing could be a dangerous thing when it comes to playing. But on the whole....its like what Louis Armstrong said..."Chops were flyin' everywhere!!" to see these guys go back and forth...brilliantI JUST BRILLIANT! tw p.s. thanx to the Dixie Dregs for signing my straoblaster! (thats' right,,,all 5!)
