I have seen the Dregs twice, and Steve Morse Band another 4 times or so. I have always been incredibly impressed with Steve's talent, and of Dave LaRue, Van Romaine, all of the players. The show at Club Icon was as good as any I've seen. The cohesion of this band is unsurpassed. When Steve talks to the crowd, he is so informal, almost humble. It's a very interesting contrast to his playing prowess. The entire show was impeccably played. I particularly like the Mahavishnu cover they have been doing. In my opinion, there is no other band playing today that can outplay this bunch. I will see them every time they come to town. An incredible experience, especially for a musician (I am a guitar player, always humbled when I leave a Morse/Dregs show!).
