What a show! It was all I anticipated, wanted, and hoped it would be. A musically intelligent crowd that was digging the show from the first note, which soon had the band feeding off the audience. I have never seen so many happy and satisfied faces, both on and off the stage, throughout a concert before. I haven't seen the Dregs live since 1981, and their growth as musicians is phenominal. Thirty years ago this Christmas I saw the Mahavishnu Orchestra for the first time, and hearing The Dance of Maya played like that Saturday night produced extreme deja vu. All of the superlatives I could use to describe this show would still not be enough to express the feeling I came away with, and still have three days later. Go see them if you can, listen and groove with them, express your enjoyment, and they will knock your socks off. Thanks for the thrill, and will be looking forward to the next show.
