Split Decision Review
By Rich Franz

I've had this CD for a week now and have listened to it front to back about 15 times. HOT DAMN if this isn't the Steve Morse Band at its BEST. There are so many different styles and shades to this album, I won't try to list them all. But if you are looking for some hard hitting power, it's here. If you are looking for something more soft and acoustic, it's here. There's even a little Bach a la Steve which I found delightful.

I can't go on without talking about;

Van Romaine
Whether it requires a soft touch or a pound them into the ground (and all points in between ) Van delivers effortlessly.

Dave LaRue
The More I hear his fabulous bass playing, the more I love it. He is just so FUNKY in a very wonderful way.

Steve's playing is way above top notch. He is master of his instrument and obviously having a great time making his music. The catchy melodies, beautiful harmonies, the point/counterpoint passages, the MUSICIANSHIP, all this and more make this one hell of a good time for the listener.
