A less acclaimed instrumental master is guitarist Steve Morse, who'll play a
solo show Saturday at the Living Room, 273 Promenade St. in Providence. With
the Dregs and with his own Steve Morse Band, Morse has leaped from jazz to
heavy rock to glistening folk-inflected music, sometimes within the bounds of a
single song. As a solo performer, Morse was rated highly enough by ace guitarists
John McLaughlin, Paco de Lucia and Al DiMeola to qualify as the opening act on
their 1983 tour. Fistful of Rumors will open. Admission is $7.50.
