Steve jammed with Jannick Gers of Iron Maiden onstage at London's Hammersmith Odeon this past Saturday. A particularly ferocious version of "Smoke on the Water" did also benefit from contributions by Bruce Dickinson doing the second verse, as well as Nicko McBrain handling tambourine duties. Definitely one for the books... On a related subject, Deep Purple has got studio time booked for October.

In the meantime, there are tentative plans for a Dixie Dregs/Jelly Jam combination tour in the US later this year. This is not yet confirmed by any means, but watch this space for more details when they come to hand.

Work on the Dixie Dregs DVD still under progress, but expect a release before Christmas. We'll hopefully be able to post a full list of contents shortly.

Just to keep you updated, the Steve Morse/Dixie Dregs DVD is still very much in the planning stages. The latest word is that it looks likely to be a double DVD release. The plan is to include the full Dixie Dregs show at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT from November 29th 2001. A further selection of footage from other stages of Steve's career is also a possibility.
