I've been a huge fan of the Dixie Dregs and Steve Morse since 1977, and have attended more than 20 shows. But I've never heard Steve play with Deep Purple, even on an album. Honestly I was not a huge fan of the old Deep Purple, I found their music OK but not inspiring. But now that Steve is playing with them, naturally I'm more interested. So.... which Deep Purple album (featuring Steve Morse) would be the best to start with? As far as rock 'n' roll goes, my taste runs toward the Allman Brothers, Stray Cats/Brian Setzer (another fantastic guitarist by the way), Marshall Tucker Band, Dire Straits, Creedence Clearwater Revival.
