In terms of voicing and interest I'd go in the direction of Rodrigo or the Chieftans. The Dregs apparently covered a lot of the Mahavisnu stuff way back. Maybe a reprise or medley and variations similar to "Cruise Control" off their live cd. Of course, if Steve could intertwine any -- or all -- of the above together I'd be stunned but not surprised. An immensely unrealistic challenge that borders on the absurd, commerce-wise. It's up to Steve.
