Kansas played the Universal Ampthitheatre with Steve in Los Angeles Friday July 16, 1987. That's why Steve was in the area and able to do the guitar clinic the next day in San Diego. I was at the Kansas show and it was great, hilight was seeing Steve play the Dust in the Wind violin solo on violin, note for note perfect!!!!!
